Georges Vanier School Prayer Lord, in the morning as we start this day, We take a moment to bow and pray. We start with thanks, For all your kind and loving ways. And now as we begin our day, Watch over us as we work and play. We ask you to help us respect and love one another, And all we meet during the day. Hold our families and school staff in your hands, As we follow, in your commands. Teach us to love you more than before, Through random acts of love and kindness. Guide us to be like Georges Vanier, And make a difference by Helping the poor, the needy, the sick and the homeless. We ask this through Jesus, Our Lord. Amen Spring Prayer Dear God: Spring is a metaphor for change. Some changes we eagerly await, and some we abhor. Some changes we plan and others arrive uninvited. To all these changes we ask the gift of Your perspective beckoning us to expectation, hope, and rebirth. May the sunlight and the rain be reminders that You are at work renewing the earth. As a God of renewal, You are ever at work in our lives, too. Open our eyes and lives to the needed changes in our lives this Spring. Awaken us to new life and perspective, for this we pray in Jesus' name.
