Hartnell College Academic Senate
Resolution 2.09: Commendation of Liz Estrella
Whereas, Liz Estrella has counseled hundreds of students in her role as Counselor since 2000,
and
Whereas, she has provided outstanding service to the Hartnell College Academic Senate, serving
as both Senator and as Senate President, and
Whereas, she has contributed to many committees, including most recently the Basic Skills
Initiative, and
Whereas, her work with the Future Teachers has led many students into the profession of
teaching, and
Whereas, she will be missed as a Senator and fellow faculty member, but welcomed in her new
role as Interim Dean of Developmental Education,
Therefore, be it resolved that the Hartnell College Academic Senate recognize Liz Estrella’s
outstanding career as a counselor and congratulate her on her new position at Hartnell College.
