Resolution 2.14 Distance Education Faculty Liaison Position
Approved: November 26, 2013
Whereas students enrolled in courses offered in the distance education modality account for
10% of full time enrolled students (FTES) at Hartnell College,
Whereas Hartnell College also offers a degree and certificate program in the distance
education modality,
Whereas the Accrediting Commission for California Community and Junior Colleges (ACCJC)
has recently recommended many additional guidelines to uphold the integrity of distance
education courses and programs,
Whereas the Distance Education Plan describes a distance education faculty liaison position
and corresponding obligations,
Resolved that the Academic Senate for Hartnell College endorses the creation of a distance
education faculty liaison position as described in the Distance Education Plan.
