EQAO Grade 9 Mathematics Results for 2015
We are pleased to let you know that our last year's Grade 9 students scored very well on their EQAO
Mathematics Test. Results indicated that 73% of students in the Applied program scored at or above
the provincial standard. This was an increase of 13% over last year's results. We saw 6% increase in
students in the Academic program. Overall 94% of them scored at or above the provincial standard.
We congratulate our students for all their hard work and effort. Well done!
Many thanks to the member of our Mathematics Department who have engaged in extensive
professional development and who work collaboratively to ensure that our students' program are up-todate and effective.
Guidance counsellors, special education and student success teachers also have a strong role in
supporting our young people. The processes of mathematics are reinforced in many disciplines in our
school.
