Body Image Poster Body Image is the feeling a person has about
his or her appearance. How you see yourself
when you look in the mirror or when you
picture yourself in your mind. What you
believe about your own appearance, how you
feel about your body, including your height,
shape and weight, and how you sense and
control your body as you move all play a role
in one’s Self Image. Unfortunately, in today’s
society, media plays a HUGE role in how we
see ourselves.
Using pictures from magazines or other
advertisements you found, you will create a
poster that displays media’s perception of the
ideal body image. Your poster must include:
• Statistics from the list provided
• Pictures of models, athletes, actors, etc.
• Group members names
• Neat and attractiveness
