Police Investigator Always Reports directly to the Director of University Police Department or his/her designated authority Percent of time Spent: 10 Duties & Responsibilities Prepare cases leading to successful prosecution, where applicable; File appropriate complaints for arrest warrants and attempts service of same; Compose supplemental and case reports; 10 Pick-up prisoners and process warrant arrests from outside agencies; Maintain ability to function as a patrol officer; Participate in all special events 10 Act as a direct liaison with all law enforcement agencies for coordination and cooperation of the law enforcement effort; Ensure victim of court dates and disposition on cases; Maintain intelligence on criminal activity pertaining to assignment 10 Forward information of possible crime patterns, suspects and their activities to other officers for use in apprehension and prevention Perform related tasks as necessary 10 Accept record and maintain custody of all evidences collected by officers from crime scenes and arrest. Performs all duties as evidence custody in processing, collections and transporting evidence for court. 20 Investigate criminal incidents with the goal of identifying, arresting and prosecuting the offender and recovering stolen property, where applicable; Interview witnesses and victims; Interrogate suspects and offenders;
