Reader’s Notebook Entry
Envisioning
Practice envisioning! Complete this two-part
activity on plain white paper. Be sure to include
the title of your book and the page(s) where the
event takes place. This is DUE ON FRIDAY,
OCTOBER 9TH.
1)
Draw a detailed picture from a scene in
your current independent reading book. By
picturing the images in your mind, you are
creating a movie as you read. This can make
difficult parts of your book easier to
understand and will help make reading more
exciting. (Feel free to label parts of your
drawing if you think it will help me to better
understand the picture.)
2)
On the same paper, write or type a 5-6
sentence paragraph describing this scene.
Imagine every detail, sound, and feeling.
Explain what is going on as you picture it in
your mind, using your own words.
3)
The rubric for this entry is on the reverse
side of this paper.
