To date, TJUH Information Systems Customer Service Center has collected and
donated 3,000+ used cellular devices to Cellphone For Soldiers .
Each donated used mobile phone allows Cell Phones for Soldiers to fulfill the
mission of providing service men and women with the opportunity to communicate
with loved ones for free. Your cell phone turns into 60 minutes of calling time for
the troops.
Did you know that cell phones contain hazardous materials, such as mercury,
cadmium, nickel and gallium arsenide that could contaminate ground water, if
discarded in landfills? Jefferson is committed to helping to save the environment
and this is just one way you can help to contribute.
