Under the general supervision of the Director of Case Management, the Social
Worker is responsible for coordinating the provision of patient care services
related to such aspects as psychosocial assessment, crisis intervention, counseling,
emotional support, group work, referral to community agencies/resources,
assistance with socio-economical problems, and discharge planning.
Current licensure in Texas as a Licensed Medical Social Worker with a Masters in
Social Work.
Two to three years of experience in social services in a hospital environment is
desirable.
