Mr. Kadin is Senior Vice President and Manager of the Marsh Energy Practice in Houston,
Texas. He is responsible for all related claims activities for the upstream, midstream and downstream disciplines and is an integral part of the production team.
Prior to his joining the firm in 1992, Mr. Kadin was employed for eight years as a Senior
Energy Claims Adjuster with All American Marine Slip, a major oil and gas underwriter in
New York. Prior to that, he spent four years with the American Hull Insurance Syndicate in the capacity of marine claims examiner.
Mr. Kadin attended the United States Merchant Marine Academy, graduating in 1978 with a
BS degree in Nautical Science, a U.S. Coast Guard Unlimited Tonnage Merchant Marine
License, and a commission in the U.S. Naval Reserve. He spent the following several years sailing as a Third and Second Mate aboard American Flag merchant vessels engaged in worldwide trade, specializing in tanker operations.
Additionally, since coming ashore, he has completed numerous marine and insurance courses at the College of Insurance, has attended the School of Offshore Operations of the Petroleum
Extension Services of The University of Texas, and has completed numerous professional development courses.
Mr. Kadin has maintained Resident Associate Membership in the Average Adjusters
Association of the United States since 1987. He holds a Property and Casualty General Lines
Agent’s license for the State of Texas.
