Learning Outcomes: The student-athlete shall be able to demonstrate: 1. the acquisition and application of advanced sport skills appropriate to his-her respective varsity sport; 2. an understanding of the applicable history, rules, strategies, current research, safety and etiquette appropriate to his-her respective varsity sport; 3. the acquisition and application of fundamental techniques and strategies appropriate to his-her respective varsity sport; 4. good sportsmanship by playing fair, following the rules of the game, respecting the judgment of referees and officials and treating opponents and fans with respect; 5. an understanding of how personal ethics affect team responsibility. The student-athlete will be able to articulate the importance of cooperation, sacrifice, teamwork and dedication as it applies to his-her sport.
