Under direct supervision/guidance of the Environmental Health & Safety Engineer, the Environmental Health
& Safety intern candidate will assist the sites Leadership team to prevent work related injuries, occupational
illnesses, and provide minimum environmental impact of our activities..
Key Responsibilities

Update/create sites emergency response and security procedures.

Assist in preparation for the sites ISO 14001 Environmental Management System Audit.

Support daily EHS activities (i.e. audits, incident inspections, corrective action follow-up and etc.)

Maintain a safe working environment.

Work with employees on the production floor.

Assist team with identification of areas for improvement and suggests solutions.

Prepares standard reports/ documentation to communicate results of projects.
Qualifications

Must be a currently enrolled student within an Environmental Health & Safety focus or similar field.

Available to work up to 40 hours per week.

Strong written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal skills required.

Demonstrate ownership of projects including acceptance of responsibility, pride in work performed,
and willingness to learn.

Familiar with Microsoft Office software package.
