To succeed in this role you should clearly demonstrate the following:
• Degree and postgraduate qualified IT professional with a background in scientific
programming
• Expertise in C++, Java, parallel computing, UNIX, LINUX and Windows operating
systems as well as visualisation techniques
• A keen interest in research and new developments in computing and networking
and an enthusiasm for developing your knowledge. Previous oil and gas or
geoscience experience is not required, although experience within a research
environment is an advantage
• Successful track record in the timely delivery of high quality technical work
• Excellent communication and team skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a
multi-discipline environment
• Willingness to work internationally
