Annual DECP Trainee Conference
The Trainee conference is hosted and subsidised by the DECP and includes seminar presentations of recent research from both current Trainees and newly qualified Educational Psychologists. This event will provide a stimulating forum to sample research from a wide variety of topics and methodologies relevant to applied psychology and reflects the increasing evidence and knowledge base of the profession. The event is an excellent forum for Trainees to gain a sense of the scope and depth of a doctoral thesis.
There will be a series of 30 minute presentations with opportunities for questions at the end of each presentation. The format will include a number of individual presentations.
There will be an opportunity to find out more about the benefits of DECP membership at the end of the conference and the wine reception that follows the event provide an opportunity to meet with members of the DECP.
The daily rate will be £20 for current trainees and newly qualified EPs in their first year of practice (but free for those attending the following 3 day DECP course) £60 for DECP members and £70 for non-members.
Training programmes are required to co-ordinate bookings for all of their current trainees using the group booking form. All enquiries from TEPs should be co-ordinated by their programme should be sent to Vivian Hill at v.hill@ioe.ac.uk
. This enables the event to maintain a low cost of £20 per trainee. There is an administration fee of £80 for each programme.
