Edition is a reliable and interoperable web-based emergency communications system that
allows you to instantaneously contact key personnel during times of crisis.
Quickly and efficiently mobilize and alert first responders, emergency response teams and
public safety employees with RSAN EMA by sending manual, automated or pre-defined
alerts to all types of notification channels, including text messaging, emails, voice calls and
computer desktop alerts. Launch alerts from anywhere - web browser or mobile device,
including mobile applications for Blackberry®, iPhone®, and AndroidTM smartphones.
Alerts can be sent in English, Spanish and other languages and can be targeted to specific
geographic areas using Geographic Information System (GIS) and Virtual Earth maps. Users
can also utilize RSAN Location Based Services (LBS) to alert first responders located in
disaster areas within seconds.
Alerts can be sent simultaneously to multiple devices, including email addresses, cell phones,
pagers, and computer desktops, dramatically increasing the likelihood police, fire, first
responders and emergency management personnel will receive the message no matter where
or when an emergency occurs. RSAN supports text-to-speech and QuickAlerts for easy alert
creation and delivery to multiple systems from a single interface.

Communications
RSAN EMA integrates with other RSAN systems locally, regionally, statewide and nationally
through Roam Secure Information Exchange (RSIX). It can automatically initiate and send
a variety of user defined and controlled alerts (weather, sensor feeds, traffic, Amber and
more). RSAN EMA is interoperable with IMS products, GIS mapping, Microsoft Virtual
Earth, Computer Aided Dispatch systems and a variety of solutions common to emergency
operations and 911 centers. Integrate seamlessly with RSAN Citizen Warning System (CWS)
edition to involve community leaders, notify residents, and facilitate crime alerts and tip
collection.
