Celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the Americans With Disabilities Act! 25 years ago, the groundbreaking Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) passed, paving the way for individuals regardless of ability to be able to fully participate in their communities. Join us to celebrate this milestone. The Equality & Access Fair Krumm Lecture Series: Spencer West Join groups from across the UNH campus and throughout the state at the Equality & Access Fair. Learn more about the ADA and how people and organizations are working to create equal access for all. Participate in hands on demonstrations, interactive exhibits, and learn how you can take action and become an advocate. After losing his legs from the pelvis down when he was a child, Spencer West learned that by connecting with others and working to make the world a better place, he could transform his life. Alternating between walking on his hands and using his wheelchair, Spencer has built schools in Kenya and India, walked 186 miles from Edmonton to Calgary in Canada, and climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro to raise money and awareness for a clean water initiative. This event is presented in partnership with the MUB Lecture Series, Health Services, Residential Life, and the President’s Commission on the Status of People with Disabilities.
