Health Disparities Project
10 West Edge Drive, Suite 101 | Durham, NH 03824
603.862.1084 | www.iod.unh.edu
The goal of the Health Disparities Project is to generate new knowledge about health care access and health
outcome disparities experienced by people with different types of disabilities and translate and disseminate these
findings for researchers, policy makers, and others. A growing body of research has documented that persons with
disabilities are more likely to experience health disparities compared to the general population; this grant helps
to extend this research to disparities experienced by people with different types of disabilities. Funding for the
project is from the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research, U.S. Department of Education.
