If they are in the full census the button will say Assign – to tell them what to click in if they want to see the assigned patients only. To document on a pt not in assignment click on Census o This pt. will be pulled temporarily into CO in your list of assigned patients until you click back on one of your assigned patients. It falls off 1 hour after documentation is done and the nurse has clicked on a different patient. Staff Detail and Patient Detail buttons in Create Assignment Staff Detail will show the staff what patients are assigned to them and this is where they can go to end a relationship OR they can find their name under Search and double click on their name to get the Staff detail to pop up. The RN has to be signed on to click on staff detail and see their own patients. Others can see who is assigned to them by finding their name under search only. Patient Detail will show everyone assigned to a particular patient. You can see this info by double clicking on the patient name under Patients in Create Assignment. Other Helpful tips: End an assignment: (Useful if assignment gets changed) In Create Assignment pull up user's name that patient is assigned to, double click on their name. A detail screen will pop up with the patients listed they are assigned to. Click on the patient that needs to be removed from assignment. Click on END, and OK. (do not need to fill in the reason for ending). Assignment does not show up in Care Organizer but looks correct in Create Assignment. 1. Wrong default shift is set up for this user -Instruct user to go into Create Assignment and change the hours worked. Set Default shift will always pull up. Click on appropriate shift, go to File>Save configuration to make this a permanent change. 2. Hours for assignment do not include the current hour. Assignments do not show up before or after the time they are set for. So if someone's shift is set for day shift (700-1900) and they come in to make their assignment at 0630 - it will not show up in Care Organizer until 0700. they just need to wait to access their assignment until 0700. Assignments fall off after the time the shift is set for. Changing the hours for the Shift Days defaults to 0700-1900. to change the times to 0645 -1930: Click on Provider Type, Care Relationship, Shift popup will come up automaticlly, select correct shift Days. Change the NIGHT TIME FIELD FIRST - to 1930, then you can change the 0700 to 0645. This is set up this way and we cannot change it. Staff always try to do the beginning of the shift change first and it can't be done.
