Bring no valuables. Lockers are limited.
Keep strings of pants tucked inside pants.
Wear your Vanderbilt ID.
Wear hat that covers all of your hair.
Wear eye protection
Wear mask
o Remove disposables when leaving the OR suite.
Cover scrubs with lab coat.
Jewelry should be kept to minimum. Secure it when
scrubbing. Earrings should be covered by cap.
No artificial fingernails
Wear comfortable closed toe shoes.
Eat breakfast; do not drink large amounts of fluids before a
case!
Do not lock your knees! If you get hot, notify OR circulator
and step outside the OR to get some air.
Keep 12 inches away from sterile drapes, or any sterile
table.
