Science Success Center Writing Support
In January 2014, the Science Success Center (SSC) opened, dedicated to working with
students across all levels and in many disciplines. In its inaugural semester, Writing Center
staff housed in the SSC worked with a total of 359 students. That number climbed to 589
students in the fall 2014 semester. As Figure 1 shows, that 64% increase can be attributed
to a growing number of students seeking our support for 100 and 300-level courses.
