GLOBAL BENEFITS: INTERNET OF THINGS
Abstract
The term "Internet of Things" has come to describe a number of technologies and research
disciplines that enable the Internet to reach out into the real world of physical objects. The
presentation will give a descriptive overview of technologies used in Internet of Things (IoT)
such as nano tech, smart tech and sensors and will present the scenarios in which we apply
internet of things. The main part of the presentation will delve into how IoT came create smart
sectors in agriculture, health, business and manufacturing. Additionally, IoT can be used in
homes to enhance safety, and increase efficiency and these processes are summarized in the
presentation. Lastly, the security challenges posed by the utilization of IoT such as the need for
crypo-engines are discussed and the work that can be carried out to enhance security in IoT is
also presented.
