Wilora Lake stream restoration project YOUR STORM WATER FEES AT WORK June 25, 2008 Dear Resident, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Storm Water Services (Storm Water) held a public meeting on May 27, 2008 at Hickory Grove Branch Library for the Wilora Lake Restoration Project. • The meeting discussed the proposed improvements. Meeting highlights: • • • • Mr. Greg Cole, Project Manager, discussed the organization of the project team and provided a general overview of the Storm Water Services Program. Design details are still being finalized, but the final pond layout is complete. The main components of the new pond include: forebays, wetlands, pond, littoral shelf, dam, pond drain valve and a maintenance road gate.
