RESTORATION PROJECT

October 2010
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Storm Water Services has started
construction on the Wilora Lake Restoration Project. The
contractor was unable to obtain sufficient quantities of the
specific soil needed to build the dam. As a result, construction
has been temporarily suspended while the design engineer
revises the design using a more readily available soil.
Major construction is still anticipated to be complete by
December 31, 2010.

The contractor digs out the pond while using the
original dam to help control stormwater runoff.
