Shadowlake Pond
storm drainage improvement project
Dear Resident:
YOUR STORM WATER FEES AT WORK
April 2013
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Storm Water Services has obtained
all easements for the Shadowlake Pond project.
The design phase continues and the permit applications
have been submitted to the agencies for review. The Project
Team may still be working in the area collecting information
necessary to complete the design. Once the construction
drawings are complete and all permits have been obtained,
the project will begin the bid phase. During this phase,
competitive bids are taken from responsible contractors
to perform the work. After City Council approval, the City
awards the construction contract to the lowest responsible
bidder. The project is currently on schedule to begin
construction this winter.
The recent construction activity between the pond and
Ryder Avenue was related to a Charlotte-Mecklenburg
Utility Department (CMUD) sanitary sewer rehabilitation
project. The project is now complete. Please contact Chris
Allen, CMUD project manager, at 704-391-5131 or
callen@charlottenc.gov for questions related to the sanitary
sewer project.
For more information about this project, please visit our
