Water Oak s t o r m d r a i n a g e i m p r o v e m e n t p r o j e c t your storm water fees at work Dear Resident: Charlotte-Mecklenburg Storm Water Services and Mulkey Engineers & Consultants continue to work through the planning phase of the Water Oak Storm Drainage Improvement Project. The consultant has analyzed the storm drainage system and developed different alternatives to address the drainage issues and concerns in the neighborhood. The alternatives have been analyzed and evaluated to determine the best solution. Mulkey is finalizing the Selected Alternative report. Once this is complete, a public meeting will be scheduled to present the recommended alternative and solicit input from residents. Meeting details will be mailed to residents approximately two weeks prior to the meeting. For more information about this project, visit our website: http://stormwater.charmeck.org. October 2013 Engineering & Property Management Storm Water Services Division 600 East Fourth Street Charlotte, North Carolina 28202 Don’t wash your car on your driveway or in the street. Soap suds flow to the nearest storm drain, then directly into the nearest creek. That could kill fish and other aquatic life. Instead, park your car on your lawn to wash it. Or, better yet, take your car to a professional car wash where the water is cleaned. You’ll have a clean car and all of us will have clean streams. For more information visit stormwater.charmeck.org
