your storm water fees at work
August 2013
Dear Resident:
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Storm Water Services is in the
planning phase of the Marlwood/Waverly water quality
pollution control project. The project boundaries are
Marlwood Circle to the north and east, Timber Lake
Drive to the west and Sherington Way to the south.
The project goal is to preserve the water quality
benefits of the pond.
For more information about this project, please visit our
website at http://stormwater.charmeck.org and click
on Storm Water Projects drop down menu in the green
bar, then Active Projects and Marlwood/Waverly.
If you have any questions, please contact Project
Manager Chad Nussman at 704-336-5676 or
cnussman@charlottenc.gov.
City staff is using the survey data to analyze the
function of the existing drainage system and to
improve pond dams and existing street flooding.

Don’t wash your car on your driveway or in the street.
Soap suds flow to the nearest storm drain, then
directly into the nearest creek. That could kill fish and
other aquatic life.
Instead, park your car on your lawn to wash it. Or,
better yet, take your car to a professional car wash
where the water is cleaned. You’ll have a clean car and
all of us will have clean streams.
