Prosperity Hucks Area Plan– 60 minutes
Resource: Kent Main, Planning
The Prosperity Hucks Area Plan covers about 6,200 acres in the northeast corner of
Charlotte. To resolve citizen concerns with a prior draft, staff conducted a community
dialog process and prepared a Refined Draft Plan. The committee received a
presentation of the recommendations at its meeting on May 11. The Planning
Committee of the Charlotte Mecklenburg Planning Commission heard public comment
at its meeting on May 19. Staff will update the committee on comments heard at the
Planning Committee meeting, and provide information on the Implementation section
of the plan.
Action: Recommend forwarding the plan to full Council for public comment on June 22,
2015.
