Alex Webling Alex Webling BSc, BA(Hons), GDip (Ed), ZOP, Gdip(Comms) Alex is the Director of the National Information Infrastructure (NII) in the Australian Attorney-General’s Department. One of the prime roles of the NII section is the responsibility for Australia’s international e-security policy with other countries and with multilateral organisations. This includes a large commitment to working within APEC to enhance e-security and running both AusAID and APEC funded projects to build CERT capacity in developing economies. Alex has worked in a diverse number of areas across the Australian Government, including in science policy, counter-terrorism and international education. Alex’s personal interests are in the areas of languages and science history, he cowrote “Nobel Prize Laureates and Australia to 2000”.
