Fixed Mobile Convergence
Dr. Detlef P. Zaun is the CEO of avendi consulting gmbh in Bergisch Gladbach, Germany. avendi
consulting is specialised in the consulting area of management and technology in the field of
telecommunication. He founded the avendi consulting together with other managers from the
telecommunication industry in May 2004. Until 2004 he was the responsible director of billing and
customer care at DETECON International GmbH. Before he joined DETECON in 1996 he works as
system analyst in several companies in Germany.
Since 1988 until today he is teacher for Artificial Intelligence and Computational Linguistics at the
University of Cologne.
Dr. Zaun has studied Computational Linguistics, Philosophy and Political Science at the University
of Cologne and finished the study with Master Degree in 1989. In addition he got Ph.D. in Artificial
Intelligence by creating a new class of artificial neural networks for computation of language
He is author of serveral books about parsing technology, artificial neural networks, computational
linguistics and programming languages.
