SRD is a Vietnamese development agency supporting poor rural communities to

Examples of past internship work: Created a project proposal for a revolving credit
fund, completed a project report and dataset following a site visit, worked with project
stakeholders and gained an understanding about credit agencies of Vietnam,
established mechanisms and regulations for the management of funds, advised project
staff and partners on how to effectively manage funds for projects.

4. Center for Marinelife Conservation and Community Development (MCD) ) –
conservation, sustainable development, resource management, research and
development, capacity building
MCD is a non-governmental organization devoted to the protection of marine
ecosystems and improvement of the lives of coastal residents. As an NGO they work in
community development, environmental and natural resource management on such
topics as sustainable fisheries management, ecotourism, and research on assessing
climate change in Asia. MCD became a member of the International Union for
Conservation of Nature in 2010. Interns will have the opportunity to conduct research
and analyze topics such as Ecological Risk Assessment, Climate Change in Coastal
Communities, and Coastal Resource Management. Head office in Hanoi.

Preferred Skills: background in natural science or social science; analytical, synthesis,
research, & writing skills; knowledge of development context, particularly in countries
such as Vietnam.
Examples of past internship work: Conducted a climate change assessment;
Conducted literature review of institution capacity and climate change risks;
Developed research proposal to answer the guiding questions under regular
consultations with research supervisor and research coordinator; Worked out
research questionnaires, conduct informal interviews with relevant governmental
agencies and stakeholders to collect primary data for the research; Presented the
research findings at technical workshop.

Saigon Hi-Tech Park is a park for high technology enterprises located 15 km from
downtown Ho Chi Minh City. Leading high-tech companies in SHTP include: Japanese
Nidec, US Intel, French Air Liquide, Danish Sonion, US Jabil, and Italo-American
Datalogic. The intended project for interns this summer will include researching and
analyzing the world market for the developing semiconductor industry.

6. Coffey International Development & UKaid Project in Hanoi – corruption,
development Coffey International Development is providing technical support to
UKaid in Vietnam to conduct a wide range of anti-corruption initiatives in
