She actively works to provide care that is customized to each individual and family she sees. She believes that plans about genetic testing are personal to each individual and family. Amanda's goal is to make patients comfortable, meet their emotional needs, assist families in need of diagnosis, and give patients the knowledge they need to take charge of their health for the future. Clinical Interests Amanda Hanson is a genetic counselor in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Genomic Medicine who sees families and patients of all ages for a variety of indications. She is the Coordinator and genetic counselor for the Cardiovascular Genomics Clinic, and also serves as the Coordinator for the Enzyme Replacement Therapy (ERT) program at UC Davis for patients with Lysosomal Storage Disorders.
