Alf Museum of Paleontology. She is someone with a knack for fundraising and building strong partnerships, formerly serving as an Assistant Director of Development at CMC. Harason earned her B.A. in Political Science & Psychology from the University of Southern California and a Master’s in Political Science & International Relations from CGU in ’09. Jesus Sanchez, Volunteer & Youth Coordinator Jesus is the Volunteer & Youth Coordinator at Uncommon Good, a nonprofit organization in Claremont that supports at risk youth and breaks the cycle of poverty. He has extensive knowledge in grassroots organizing, leadership and strategy development, college and career readiness, and youth development. Raised in Baldwin Park, California, Jesus is a first generation Chicano. He holds a Master’s degree from the University of La Verne and a Bachelor’s degree from Cal State University Dominguez Hills. Scott Trotter ‘86, Executive Director Scott has served as the Executive Director for the Child Abuse Prevention Center since August 2006. In his role, Scott provides expertise in strategic planning and organization leadership to a volunteer Board of Directors and a staff of over 80 employees. His professional experience also includes 18 years of business management at Disney and Ernst and Young. He earned his Bachelor’s degree from CMC in ’86. Rick Wentzel ‘85, Nonprofit Practice Leader for the West Region Rick is the Nonprofit Practice Leader for the West Region at Grant Thorton, completing over 28 years of practice in the finance and accounting industry. He serves clients in not-for-profit and education areas, making him a great addition to this panel! Previously, Rick has served as a Partner for PricewaterhouseCoopers, Occidental College, and Jewish Federation Council of Greater Los Angeles. Rick completed his Bachelor’s in Accounting & Religion from CMC in ’85. Rich Zanelli ‘88, Executive Director Rich is the Executive Director (and purveyor of awesomeness) of Mr. Z's WildNature Academy of Awesomeness, a not-for-profit educational organization operating on Catalina Island. The mission of the organization is to help students to make deep, meaningful connections with nature and the great outdoors. He holds a multiple subject, K-12 teaching credential from the State of California, as well as a Master's Degree in Education.
