Students will also learn how to recognize a communication crisis and prepare for crisis and reputation management. The course also covers management of press conferences, from planning to execution; delivering effective responses and methods to ensure mutually beneficial exchanges of information between organizations and the media. Useful for those building a career in all sectors of US government, international organizations and humanitarian NGOs. Media Relations in Conflict Zones, taking place November 7th and 8th, will be taught by Stefo Lehmann, a renowned expert in media relations, international development and the security sector. He worked a combined 18 years with U.N. Peacekeeping Forces, the U.S. defense community and the former U.S. Information Agency, leading strategic communication and public outreach programs in the U.S., Latin America, Africa and Central Europe.
