Under the guest editorship of our very own Dr. Jeffrey Bachman, Professorial Lecturer in Human Rights and
Co-Director of the Ethics, Peace, and Global Affairs MA program at American University’s School of
International Service, this issue explores the ways in which drones interfere with the right of affected

Global Health Fellows Program, Health Economics Intern, April 30
The Health Economics Intern will be assigned to the Commodities Security Logistics Division (CSL) under
the Office of Population and Reproductive Health (PRH) in the Bureau for Global Health (GH). The PRH
Office provides coordination and performance tracking for the family planning component of the United States
Government's (USG) Global Health Initiative. The Office provides strategic direction, technical leadership and
support to field programs in voluntary family planning and reproductive health, in collaboration with global
and regional partners. The CSL Division supports USAID's efforts to strengthen commodity security - i.e.,
improving the availability of and access to essential health commodities for people in low and middle income
countries.

The Carter Center, Graduate Assistants, July 15
The Carter Center is offering a limited number of funded graduate assistantships, beginning in August, for
currently enrolled master's degree and doctoral students. Graduate assistants will receive a compensation of
$14/hr and will be asked to make a 9-12 month, 20 hours-per-week commitment. The internships cover
