Robert Pastor is Professor of
International Relations and Director
of the Center for North American
Studies at American University. His
long career in public service includes
serving as National Security Advisor
for Latin American from 1977-1981.
Jorge Castañeda is the Global
Distinguished Professor of Politics
and Latin American and Caribbean
Studies at New York University. He
served as Foreign Minister of Mexico
from 2000-2003 and is now a
columnist for Reforma, The Los
Angeles Times, and Newsweek.
