Eric Stonestreet K-State Alum (’96) Eric Stonestreet, a two-time Emmy winning actor, is currently working on the fourth season of ABC-TV’s Modern Family. Eric has been hailed as “one of the season’s biggest breakout stars” for his role as Cameron. His recent film productions include Father v. Son (2010), Bad Teacher (2011), Loft (2012), and The Day the Laughter Stopped (2012). He has also appeared on such television shows as Dharma & Greg, Malcolm in the Middle, The Mentalist, Party of Five, Spin City, ER, The West Wing, Pushing Daisies, Greg the Bunny, Providence, Close to Home, Crossing Jordan, Bones, Monk, NCIS and Nip/Tuck. Fran Albright is an actor, singer and dancer, and recently played the role of Anne in a national tour of the musical, Anne of Green Gables. She has been in seven Off-Broadway productions in New York, including Firecracker, a Checkov adaptation and shows at the Public Theatre, Theatre of Harlem and The Pearl Theatre. Craig Benton is an actor who has an extensive resume of film, television series and commercials. Craig has recently relocated to Kansas City, where some of his appearances include starring opposite Maria Gibbs in Boeing Boeing at the New Theatre Restaurant and Unnecessary Farce at the Heartland Theatre. His most recent appearance was in the production of August Osage County at The Unicorn. Travis Cloer spent a year-and-a-half on Broadway in the Tony Award winning hit Jersey Boys, where audiences raved about his performance. He can now be seen playing the “falsettoed” Frankie Valli in Jersey Boys at the Palazzo Resort Hotel Casino in Las Vegas. Other stage credits include Rusty in Starlight Express, Tony in West Side Story, John Wilkes Booth in Assassins, and featured soloist with The Radio City Music Hall Christmas Spectacular. Luke Johnson currently works at the crown uptown professional dinner theatre in Wichita. He has been performing with them, serving as cast house manager, and even stage managed a show since last October. His most recent role was Zach in their next production of "A Chorus Line.” Luke will aslo be featured in "Sweeney Todd" and "White Christmas" later on this season. Laura Lindsay is approaching hertwo year anniversary in NYC. She is the Keenan Ramos, Nathan Jackson, Tyler Woods Nathan Jackson is the playwright in Kansas City. He is the author of Broke-ology and When I Come to Die, which premiered at the Lincoln Center in the Fall of 2008 and Spring of 2010. Nathan has also worked as a writer on the Showtime series Shameless and TNT’s Southland. He recently returned to K-State in Spring of 2011 to vconduct playwrighting workshops and view the Ebony Theatre production of Broke-ology. Price Messick, an actor, singer and dancer, recently completed a national tour and is now living in New York City. Most recently he was seen in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Reefer Madness, Seussical, and Rocky Horror Picture Show. Some of his favorite roles include: Rupunzel’s Prince, Into the Woods, directed by Moises Kaufman at the Kansas City Repertory Theatre and John, John & Jen at the Fishtank Performance Studio. Kurtis Rutherford is currently living in New York City. He is working as the Technical Director for the Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet, an internationally touring and well respected, inovative dance troupe. Prior to landing this job, he was a freelance carpenter working successfully for a number of scene shops, off-broadway houses as well as a bevy of other assorted jobs. He is happlily married to fellow K-Stater, and Freelance Wardrobe Artisan Mary Johnston Rutherford. David Tompkins is the general manager of the Boston Ballet Company. “It is an ever increasing battle keeping a performing arts organization afloat in this day and age, but still all is good every time you see the artists perform.” Stage Manager of a production called Welcome to America produced by New Worlds Theatre Project. The company is a new company, and that takes old Yiddish plays and translates them to English, while focusing on non-traditional casting. This is Laura’s second production as an Equity member. Her first was with Urban Stages (a small, not for profit theatre company that she works for as their Assistant Program Director). Additonally, Laura works at Juilliard as a stage manager for the Concert Office under another K-State Alum, Cynthia Baker. Outside of herprofessional life, she is really enjoying living in New York City. She has been able to meet a few other K-State Alumns and remarks, “We try to all keep up with each other. K-State is doing a lot of great things in NYC!” Vi Tran is a storyteller, singer-songwriter, Equity actor, and Reuben Lucas spent four years as the resident scenic design associate at the Denver Center Theatre Company. He is now living in Chicago and freelancing full-time as a scenic designer. Reuben recently joined USA 829 and is currenly designing an Opera at his grad school alma mater, UIUC. In a interesting turn, he has been assigned a fellow KSU graduate, Joe Klug, to be his assistant designer at UIUC. Michael Wieser is a actor, singer, and bagpipes player in arts advocate. As bandleader of the Vi Tran Band, he routinely has visual artists paint live during performances. He acts as curatorial programming chair for arts advocacy program Hello Art and hosts its monthly First Friday trolley tours of Kansas City's Crossroads art district. He also serves as a facilitator for Artist, INC. He is currently producing the Vi Tran Band's full-length debut album, the follow-up release to his 2010 solo debut EP, GOODBYE, SUMMER. New York City. He has performed in many productions with Williamstown Theatre during his Fellowship in 2010 and is currently an acting member of the Exit Pursued by a Bear theatre company. Michael was recently cast in Classic Stage Company’s production of The Cherry Orchard.
