A. IOM-557a Global Supply Chain Logistics Infrastructure (1.5) Eff. Fall 2013

Study of global logistics infrastructures - water, rail, road, and air - through readings, team research and presentation, international site visits, and final written report. Open only to Global Supply Chain Management majors.

Approved for 1 Year . Students in IOM-557a will spend 5 days at an international location. The 2013 trip will be to Singapore.

Examination of indigenous languages in Northern Ireland, with a focus on the sociopolitical dimension of revitalization movement.

Approved for 3 Years . Students will spend 11 days in various locations throughout

Ireland and Northern Ireland.

International Relations

Eff. Spring 2013

Processes of conflict, violence, change, integration, stability, and peace in world society, analyzed primarily through the literature of the peace research movement.

Approved for 1 Year . Students will spend 12 days in Rwanda.

US and Asia (4)

A hands-on analysis of the contemporary US foreign policy towards East Asia through lectures, policy paper writing, and an exchange visit to Singapore.

Approved for 1 year . Students will spend 8 days in Singapore working on their final reports.

Summer Study Abroad Program to China, Japan, or Korea with a focus on

Globalization. Recommended Preparation: Two language and/or area studies courses related to country of study, recommended course list provided by EASC.

Approved and Renewed for 5 Years. Students spend 4 weeks abroad in China, Japan, or Korea.

3) ISP Request for New Location

Earth Sciences

GEOL-465 Field Geology (4) Eff. Summer 2013

Ten days to four weeks of field study in an area of geological complexity, with preparatory instruction.

Approved for 1 Year. The department is adding a new location to this existing course.

Students will spend 10 days in Morocco in 2013.
