Staff contracts and teaching load NOTED and AGREED: discussion and confirmation of action for some languages (Mandarin and Spanish) and tutors to fulfil contractual hours. Main tasks for term one 4.1 Reading and Writing exams ACTION: language teams to finish outstanding exam scripts in reading week and to submit to coordinators by 16 November; AGREED: the first Coordinator examination review meeting will take place on Wednesday 23 November, when the papers for Level A will be discussed; coordinators to also bring Level B papers to the meeting. The next meeting will take place on Wednesday 30 November. 4.2 Grammar and Vocabulary assessments NOTED: some Visiting Examiners had commented last June that we appear to have used too much old material for the Grammar and Vocabulary coursework assessment; ACTION: this year’s assessments must be renewed. Sickness cover NOTED: If there is long‐term hours and all team members have already filled their contract hours, we will ask Evening Course teaching staff. Any other business 6.1 VE Reports Course Units Senior Coordinator Meeting 2011‐11‐02 ‐ Minutes The official Visiting Examiner reports will be made available on the intranet 6.2 Liyun Liao will be available to assist all teams with Moodle.
