My main focus in academia is Public and Community Health Care which I teach within various
nursing programmes. I am also involved in curriculum development for programmes related to
community care, and coordinate our programme of studies leading to a BSc in Community Nursing.
With community care being my main focus area, I also work in collaboration with our Primary Health
Care Department, and with local government with the aim of developing nursing in this area.
Areas of Interest:
I have a particular passion for public health, which I enjoy teaching, enabling students to understand
that health care goes far beyond that which is provided at the bed side. I am also interested in
Health Education, particularly that related to chronic disease management.
