NQ Media Studies – Intermediate 1
Production Student Logbook
Notes for Lecturers/Teachers

Pages of relevant terminology should be added. These could be in the format of
tests or a glossary although it should be noted that candidates benefit from
learning terminology.

Details should be very specific. Good examples are given in the NABs.

At Intermediate 1, the topic should be very familiar and possibly aimed at the
candidates’ own age group. The purpose, target audience, form, genre, length
and internal/external controls should be specified.

Deadlines for each stage of production could be given and as far as possible
strictly adhered to (it is better to keep length of the production to a minimum).
