Academic Honesty Statement
for AST101 Practical Observing Activities
I, the undersigned, hereby declare that the attached report and logbook are
handed in for grading as part of the credit for the course AST101. I have
read and understood the rules relating to academic dishonesty at SUNY
Stony Brook, and declare that none of my activities related to this report,
this logbook, and the associated work violate these rules.
Specifically, I also declare:
1. The work reported on, the logbook, and the report are mine and only
mine. I have not copied any parts of it from similar reports written for
this or any other course.
2. All observations reported were done by me, on my own, at the times and
places stated in the report and logbook. Where I did use other sources
of data, those sources are explicitly stated with the relevant data in the
report.
3. I have not given others enrolled in AST101, AST105, or any similar
course any opportunity to copy my report or logbook or parts of either.
Furthermore, I am aware that any violation of the university rules or the
above statements will be referred to the Academic Judiciary, and that I face
severe penalties if I am found guilty of academic dishonesty (including, but
not necessarily limited to, getting a Q grade on the course and a severe
lowering of my eventual course grade).
