Increased Education Plan requirements of SB 1456; better directing of students at different stages in process We currently manually enter contact information (by Reason Code reports from SARS) into Datatel to inform the MIS reporting needs regarding education plans. As funding will now be more directly tied to completion of education plans, we need to more accurately count the number of these plans being generated and modified during counseling appointments. While the new Student Planning functions of WebAdvisor may eventually provide the needed MIS data, until such a time we will continue to manually input the data via the CON screen. Pilot workshop scheduled to begin 6/10/13 Work has been done in SARS-GRID to streamline the list of Reason Codes seen by students, staff, and counselors. Counselors are now editing the appointment Reason code to make sure it accurately reflects the content of the appointment. We are working with IT to monitor the development of the new MIS data elements, and will further streamline our Reason Codes accordingly.
