What makes a good school of the
21st century ?
A good school of the 21st century has excellent teachers
and a good head teacher.
Children of all abilities and needs should be challenged
and supported.
It also has to have:
Interesting subjects
Exciting rooms
A fun playground
Cool school clubs and social events
These four areas are my main priorities today.
Main Subjects
Maths
Master
Class
•
The usual maths with special lessons
on money and how you will use it in the
future.
•
A full range of activities, taken by a
specialist.
•
•
English Literature.
Showing pupils a range of I.C.T skills
from Microsoft to searching the World
Wide Web.
My idea of geography also covers R.E as
when learning about different cultures
you can also learn about that country’s
religions.
Rich Task teaches how to work co-operatively
in a group and gives you control of your
learning.

Rich
Task
•
•
You can tie health and wellbeing in with
circle time as you talk about the same
thing.
•
You can tie thinking technology in with
science because when doing experiments
you can sometimes make them using
thinking technology.
•
The arts include art, music and
drama
The Arts
Rooms
•
Quiet
Room
Bigger
Classrooms
Single
Desks
Suggesting the name a quiet room
is a place that you can go when you
have had a rough day, you can go
and chill out for 5-10 minutes in the
quiet room.
You need bigger classrooms to
make sure the room isn’t too
crowded.
•
•
Free Time

Classrooms

•
A Laptop for
Every Pupil
More

•
•
Single desks would be useful
because everybody would have
their own personal spaces.
You could use this room for when
people don’t want to go outside they
can have free time in this room.
You need an interactive
whiteboard for when doing
lessons like rotational symmetry,
you can show how it works.
You would need more classrooms
to fit in more pupils.
If we had a laptop, it would
save a lot of paper, making the
school more eco-friendly.
More natural light in the school
would make the school become
more eco friendly.

A Garden
•
It would be nice to have a
climbing frame to bring fun
to the playground.
•
A bike shed for people who want
to bring a bike.
•
A sports pitch ranging in different
sports from football to tennis.
•
To have fun on your bikes.
•
So you can have your lunch
outside.
•
A garden for people to relax in.
•
A buddy stop is a place the
juniors could go to sort out
their problems.
•
A toy box would be useful to
decrease the number of fights in
the playground.

A sporting after school club for people
who like to be active.
A musical after school club for
people who enjoy singing.
Historic trips that teach pupils about
Scotland and its history.
For people’s parents who need to go to
work early & for those children, a
proper breakfast.
Master classes after school for
pupils that want to do more than one
master class
•
Trips that have something to do
with what you are learning.
•
For people who want to learn a bit
more on the subject
•
A homework club would help children
to get their homework in on time.
Thank you for watching my
Presentation . I hope some of
my ideas will be useful in the
future.
