down to the grass root level.

OTDF will take initiation and support service to educate, orient where the collectors of the
district may be proposed as officio chairman and at the block level the BDOs can act as a
catalyst for the growth of telecom in remote and rural areas.

The state level and national level network to be built with the consultation of the block level
and district level feed back to overcome the very specific issues and hindrances for the
telecom growth in Odisha which will eliminate the end users to have the telecom service in
day to day basis and to ensure the consumer legitimate rights and their utmost satisfaction.

To interact and assist the Govt. in policy making and implementation and development of
the telecom industry in the state.

To publish journals / periodicals / literatures for dissemination of information related to
Telecommunication and bringing out quality publication for all levels of leadership.

To facilitate, organize and enable activities of the nature of seminars, conferences,
workshops, exhibition, expo and lecture meeting for creating awareness, interface
discussion and dissemination of knowledge related to telecommunication.

Enlarge membership base and provide facilities to members to update their professional
skills and honor outstanding professionals those who have contributed to telecom sector in
state, national and international level.

To felicitate person / organization having outstanding contribution for education, research
and application in telecom sector.

To take up the cause of the telecommunication industries in judicial and quasi-judicial
matters.

To bring at individuals / organizations related to telecommunication in Odisha close to each
other and keep them well informed about the developmental change from time to time.

To define norms and standards to ensure the members organization maintain
quality service and value for money in order to have high customer satisfaction to
ensure their legitimate rights.

To

programs for the member organisation’s
representative in order to improve their efficiency in work place.

To Organize Conferences, symposia, workshops and brain storming
sessions
involving all concerned professionals, students and industry associations for the
advancement of the telecom growth and how to reach common people.

Providing a forum level discussion on national level policies and providing
suitable inputs to the policy makers / implementers.

To organize resource centers / database centers in telecom sector.

Application and services for information communication technology.

Development of intellectual property in Odisha telecom sector.

Making OTDF Odisha chapter as a center of excellence in collaboration with state,
national and international bodies as a center of excellence.

To identify the specific issues that hinder the development of the telecom in rural
and remote areas and discuss the appropriate use of new technologies available
for rural telecom development and to improve the network quality services and to
suggest a way foreward to develop plan and programs specifically to overcome the
constraints and to focus on the prospects of telecom requirement and growth
specifically in mining areas and industrial hubs of Odisha.

To act as a catalyst to overcome the constraints of telecom growth between govt.
of Odisha, Govt. of India bodies and other regulatory and statutory bodies taking
into the requirement and telecom growth for Odisha amongst the operators and
infrastructure providers and allied telecom sector.
