SAFETY ADVISORY
The AU Department of Public Safety is closely monitoring events at
universities around the country, that involve threats or implied threats
directed toward specific groups or individuals. We are in contact with
university administrators as well as local and federal authorities in order
to ensure we are taking the appropriate precautions to keep our
community safe. We encourage students, faculty, and staff to report
suspicious persons and/or suspicious activity on campus, or concerning
social media posts.
For imminent threats to safety or security, call 202-885-3636 (x3636),
activate a nearby Blue Phone, or use your Rave Guardian App. Please
forward concerning social media posts to DPS@American.Edu.
If you are on-campus and have an emergency, call 202-885-3636
immediately.
If you are off-campus and have an emergency, call 911 immediately.
