Did yo u like o r dislike these differences? T e xt Re spo nse The co urses at SNU to o k attendance in all classes; missing mo re than 3-4 classes resulted in auto matic failure o f the co urse. The pro fesso rs at SNU also lectured straight fro m Po werPo int slides mo re. I did no t like either o f these differences. The structure differs a bit. Much mo re is required o f yo u in certain classes than at USC. I bo th liked the difference and disliked it. There was a lo t o f gro up pro jects o utside o f scho o l, but that's similar to USC Marshall, and I liked the gro up pro jects in general because I go t to kno w my gro up members very well. It was a much mo re perso nal relatio nship at SNU. Classes are no t 4 units - instead they are 3 units (o ne 3-ho ur class per week). I did no t like attending these 3 ho ur classes because it felt way to o lo ng. Mo st o f the students typically lo st interest due to the length. mo re memo rizatio n than critical thinking attendance is VERY impo rtant I was able to take no n-finance co urses. I wo uld reco mmend Business Ethics with pro fesso r Kim Wo o jin. The pro fesso r was very articulate in English and helped me understand the subject o f Co rpo rate Go vernance better. I reco mmend taking Ko rean classes if yo u are able to keep up with the lectures, because the pro fesso rs are much mo re articulate when talking in their native language. If yo u ask, mo st pro fesso rs let yo u turn in yo ur repo rts in English, so it wasnt to o bad fo r me. I wo uld reco mmend the Co rpo rate Go vernance Co urse by pro fesso r Kim Wo o jin. It is no t the easiest co urse, but the pro fesso r spo ke the best English o ut o f all my pro fesso rs and was very intelligent. Special To pics in Business Administratio n is also a very po pular co urse fo r fo reign students. I met a lo t o f exchange students and made lo ts o f friends thro ugh this co urse. T e xt Re spo nse When traveling within Ko rea, use KTX (train) and cheap airlines to save co st. It helps to have a Ko rean speaker o n these trips. Ko rea is no t really travelling to different places and to urist attractio ns. After a few times, yo u realize that many things in Ko rea are pretty much the same. Thus, what's co nsidered impo rtant in Ko rea is who yo u're with, no t where yo u're go ing, which is why we were co ntent with staying aro und campus :) na Go as many places as yo u can, especially to Japan and o ther parts o f Asia. It'll be so much cheaper to travel fro m Ko rea than to go to Japan o r o ther parts o f Asia fro m the States Take advantage o f the first weeks o f scho o l as attendance is no t as strict.
