Courses and Teaching
ECTS Credits and Workload
There are four types of courses:
•
Full term course: a course lasts a fall or a spring term
•
Half a term course: a course lasts half a fall or half a spring term
•
Intensive course: a course lasts less than half a term
•
Book Exam course: students study the course materials
independently and take the exam according to the exam
schedule.
A full-time study load is approximately 1600 hours per year, which
equals to 60 ECTS credits. Most courses are worth of 6 ECTS credits.
One ECTS credit represents approximately 27 working hours. These
hours include all work required for completing the course: lectures,
exercises, cases, possible projects, independent studies, exams etc.
