We seek a candidate with the interest and ability to teach geotechnical engineering courses and to develop and sustain an internationally competitive research program. The successful candidate must hold an earned doctoral degree in Civil Engineering or in a closely related discipline by the position start date. The successful candidate must be able to teach traditional geotechnical engineering courses. Research may be pursued in the areas of geotechnical engineering, e.g. numerical modelling, laboratory and field testing. Some knowledge in German language will be a benefit. The Institute of Geotechnical Engineering (http://www.baunat.boku.ac.at/489.html?&L=1) hosts a wellequipped laboratory with a geotechnical centrifuge. The director of the institute is Prof. Dr.-Ing.
