Lab Fall 2013 Instructors: Elaine Gilbert (Section 1 – Tuesdays) Nicole Garcia (Section 2 –Thursdays) Office Hours: TBA Objective: Course is designed to provide students with hands-on experience with Geotechnical Engineering laboratory tests, equipment, and procedures. Grades: Active participation in class (20%) Attendance to all labs Closed toe shoes Pay attention/work together Professional behavior/safety/cleanliness Absolutely no cell phones Lab reports (60%) Competent writing Organizing of data, calculations, and results Properly drawn and labeled graphs Overall neatness Final Exam (20%) !!! Students are not allowed to leave the laboratory until the experiment is over, the area is cleaned up and all tools are returned to the proper locations. Students are not allowed to leave the laboratory during a session. !!!
