Objective:
Course is designed to provide students with hands-on experience with Geotechnical
Engineering laboratory tests, equipment, and procedures.
Grades:
Active participation in class (20%)
Attendance to all labs
Closed toe shoes
Pay attention/work together
Professional behavior/safety/cleanliness
Absolutely no cell phones
Lab reports (60%)
Competent writing
Organizing of data, calculations, and results
Properly drawn and labeled graphs
Overall neatness
Final Exam (20%)

Students are not allowed to leave the laboratory until the experiment is over, the area is
cleaned up and all tools are returned to the proper locations.
