SOCIAL JUSTICE ENGAGEMENT The Social Justice arm of Campus Ministry is coordinated through our CRS student ambassadors. Catholic Relief Services (CRS) is the official international humanitarian agency of the Catholic community in the United States. Our CRS student ambassadors are students who are passionate about global social justice issues and have been trained by the CRS and are supported by their programs, resources, and staff. The XU student ambassadors are members of a community of college students from across the country and through our Campus Ministry Office, provide leadership at Xavier in: • • • • • Learning about the plight of the world’s poor Training peers on global justice issues Mobilizing the campus to act for the recognition and respect of the poor’s inherent dignity through legislative advocacy Standing in solidarity with the poor through prayer and faithformation experiences Growing in faith while engaging the campus in response to urgent needs around the world We are eager to have others join us.
